Julian Carr and Cody Barnhill pedaling 400+ miles up the Pacific Coast

By DT - September 16, 2008 - 10:47

Hey, checking in from the road – Cody Barnhill and I are road biking up the Pacific coast en route to Portland.  Plan is to hang in Portland for a couple days then make our way to Jackson for the TGR premiere on September 20.  So far we’ve logged 230 miles.  We’ve encountered enourmous Redwoods, beautiful coast weather with terrific views, nasty headwind, foggy/cold/misty weather, delicious wild blackberry patches, sketchy mile-long bridges with no bike-lane with gnarly semis coming within an inch of taking you out.  Been quite the experience and we are only 4 days into it.  I’m posting pics and trip reports along the way on www.juliancarr.com and I’ll be sure to check back in on Powdermag.com before the adventure ends.
